Welcome to Boiling River!

News

Due to the high volume of quality submissions, BR is behind on notifying poets about their acceptance into our inaugural edition.  Please be patient--we want to read each poem with due diligence!  Thank you to all who submitted--we look forward to working with you.

About Us

Welcome to Boiling River!  We are a web-based poetry journal.

We welcome all styles of poetry, and we encourage our poets to take risks with their writing.  Whether free verse or form, take the poem to its limits.  "Boiling River" is a translation of an Algonquin word for the Kalamazoo River, describing its constant churning movement.  Let your poems follow suit and come bubbling up to the surface from a deep place.

Our first edition will be published in October 2008.  Please see our submissions guidelines if you are interested in contributing.
